Why do I need Jalli's app when I can prepare estimates using excel? (Ask AI)

What is difference between Jalli's Apps and Estimator App ? 

• Jalli's App is multifeatured windows desktop database application on which you generate a number of reports like Detailed Estimates, BoQ, Rate Analysis, Tender Justification, Comparative Statements, Bill schedules, Theoritical consumption of various materials etc. in MS Excel with formulas in-built.

• Estimator App is simple Excel application using which Esimate schedules can be prepared without copy paste. For DSR items just enter item code and the other details like Description, unit, rate, amount formula will be filled and cell pointer is placed in quantity cell. For MR items it can be used like a normal excel file. (Type, copy paste etc)

• To prepare Estimate using Excel files over internet you need to use copy paste method whereas the  App fetches description, rate, unit etc from database. 

• You need to sortout  items manually while using excel copy paste, App automatically sorts as per the DSR whatever the order you enter the items!

• If a new item is entered to the estimate it will be properly positioned and Sl.nos automatically get adjusted.

• If you use the App, just enter item code and quantity and the App will prepare neatly formatted ready to submit estimate with live formulas. 

• If you prepare Estimate in the App, it  gives you the rate analysis effortlessly just by updating present market rates.

• If enter contractor's quoted rates, it gives the Tender Justification statement.

Do I need to enter item codes and quntities again in the App even after preparation of Details of measurements in MS Excel ?

What if the DSR / DAR is changed by CPWD ?

• New DSR / DAR will be included in the respective App and a new version is released and notified to all the members.

CPWD issues Correction Slips from time to time, How they are implemented?

• All the Correction Slips will be updated in the database and an update will be released and intimated to members.

Can I use other SRs than CPWD DSR?

• The App is to be customized for other SSRs.  Directly you can not include other SSRs. However, you can include some of the items from other SSRs based on your requirement.

Does the App prepare rate analysis all the items of DSR ? 

• Yes, data included 100% items of respective DSR. So it can analyse all the items of DSR as well as your own non-schedule items, provided that you added the data of analysis for your own items.
